Despite all the plastic, and overstimulating lights, bells, and whistles, I broke down and got Owen an Excersaucer. My fellow Montessorians would be appalled!
He was a little overwhelmed at first and for good reason. I did end up removing about half the junk that it came with because he just didn't know what to do with all of it, as you can see. After much observing he finally began to play and bounce around. He really does like it, and it gives him a chance to stretch and strengthen his legs a little.

Owen has been drooling and chewing his fingers a lot which leads me to believe he may be teething. He loves rubbing cool, sweet apple slices across his bottom gums.
